I want to tell you everything.

When my twenty year old self first walked into Benozzo Gozzoli’s Chapel of the Magi in Florence, I was struck by the idea - in this space, I want to tell you everything.  This experience of being immersed and surrounded by Gozzoli’s 15th century frescoes, ignited a curiosity within me to look beyond the narrative in paintings and explore what the artwork really evokes.

I became obsessed by the nuanced language of painting and its ability to go beyond words and access the inaccessible. I discovered that the liminal space in a painting, where we hover between simultaneously knowing and not knowing what it means to exist, is what enables this breakthrough to connect to the inaccessible.

Beyond the realm of words, painting has a unique ability to elicit meaningful exchanges, both spoken and unspoken. This fascination with art's ability to evoke intimate conversations, is why I suspect people surround themselves and collect work that speaks to them.
